Milestone 2 Update meeting in Paris

Blandine Zaba (CNRS, Project Manager), Thomas Molier (TUe), Yuan Lu (CNRS, Project Coordinator), Pambiang Abel Dainone (IJL), Ghaya Baili (TRT), Isabelle Sagnes (C2N), Quentin Le Mignon (TRT, UNIVREN), Jean-Marie George (LAF), Rodrigo Torrao-Victor (LAF), Nils Gerhardt (UPB), Marco Romanelli (top, UNIVREN), Mehdi Alouini (UNIVREN).

On 2 February 2026, we had the pleasure of reuniting for the second time in person, in our partner CNRS (C2N and LAF) facility in Palaiseau (France), to discuss the progress of SpinDataCom and more specifically the Milestone 2 – AOS with quasi-static Pc detection!

Representatives from Laboratoire Albert Fert (LAF), Centre de nanosciences et de nanotechnologies (C2N), Institut Jean Lamour (IJL), Institut Foton (UNIVREN), Thales, Technische Universiteit Eindhoven (TU/e), and University of Paderborn (UPB) presented in person the progress in their respective Work Packages. The meeting was held in hybrid mode, allowing the representatives from our partners VI Systems (VIS), University of Rijeka (UNIRI) and Ruhr-Bochum University (RUB) to follow the discussion online. During this meeting, Work Packages 1, 2, 3 and 4 were discussed, and the project participants benefited from this opportunity to exchange precious advice and information, and organize the samples to be studied in the following six month by the consortium.

Our Project Coordinator Yuan Lu has proposed candidates to set up the SpinDataCom Industrial Advisory Board.  The IAB will be composed of representatives from industry (as potential end-users of the systems), and aim to enhance the visibility and facilitate the transfer of SpinDataCom results towards commercialization.

We are planning our next Annual Meeting in the summer 2026, hosted by our partner UNIRI (University of Rijeka) in Croatia, and overseen by our EU Project Officer. Stay tuned for upcoming updates!
