Dr Henri Jaffres is a senior research director at the CNRS at the Laboratoire Albert Fert, CNRS, Thales, University Paris-Saclay since 2019 and professor at the Ecole Polytechnique (France) since 2017. He is an international expert leader in spintronics and orbitronics involving spin-Hall and Rashba effects in the frame of several French ANR and EU programs. His last developments were more focused on orbital Rashba effects and related torques as well as ultrafast spin-currents leading to THz emission from spintronics elements. He is author or co-author of more than 150 publications on spin-injection devices, spin-LEDs and Spin-VCSELs in APS, AIP and Nature journals.
